Slow Mornings
This is the point. To be unrushed. Unhurried. To be fully present.
Let me spend my mornings soaking up baby snuggles. Let me linger over that warm cup of coffee while listening to the birds sing. I want to start the day slowly being fully present with my family. Believe it or not I have not always been a morning person. I didn’t even like coffee until my second kiddo. I think I learned to like it out of sheer survival haha. Either way I have learned that these mornings are a breath of fresh air in a fast paced world. These mornings aren’t the “norm” but they could be!
Do you crave more than go, go, go? Then you are in the right place. I have a desire to truly help people find the simple joy in the slow moments of life. To find the beauty in the ordinary. To find the peace in the mundane.
If you crave peaceful mornings like this (it is totally doable for YOU too)… then keep reading for my top tips to find peace and calm in chaotic mornings.
Start your day with prayer. Seeking God first thing allows me peace and direction for the day.
Wake up before the kids. I know it’s hard, but it’s essential. You will have a little bit of “me time” before the craziness of the day starts.
Prioritize breakfast together. Actually sit together. You will feel so much more connected. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Honestly it’s best and easiest to keep it simple in the mornings… toast and jam is our go to lately.
Plan and prep the night before. The times I fail to do this I always regret it and feel so frazzled the next day. Lay out the clothes and pack the snacks.
This last one is hard but go to bed on time! Nothing makes a morning worse than waking up already exhausted and grumpy. Prioritize your rest so you can be your best self the next morning. Not only will your body thank you, but your kids might too haha!
I hope these tips that have worked so well for me will help you too!
