Module 4: Cool Down & Storage
Congrats! You did the work. You have now made a step forward in your journey of finding your way back to your roots.
When your time is up for processing turn the heat off. Let your jars rest in the canner for 5 minutes before removing. Use a jar lifter to remove jars & place them onto a towel lined countertop. Leave jars for 12 to 24/hours. Listen for the “ping” of sealing jars… it is music to my ears! After the 12 to 24 hours check that all jars are sealed. The lids should not flex in the center if sealed. Remove bands for storage. Label your jars! Trust me- just do it haha. Store in a cool, dark place.
Do NOT use if:
Seals are broken, lids are bulging, or if the contents small off, discolored, or foamy.
